Getting Started with the ISN: what do I do first?

ISN Add comments

The Inspection Support Network™ is loaded with easy-to-use features. The best way to get started with the ISN is to start slowly by adopting one feature at a time and please request one of our amazing training sessions. To schedule an online training session contact us directly at (800) 700-8112. Ok, let us get started by taking it one step at a time!

First, let us make a list of things you will need before we start:

  • You will need to know your username and password to access your ISN (you probably received this from our engineering staff via our welcome email)
  • You will need your company’s logo in JPG, GIF or PNG format
  • You will need to know your company’s contact information and your inspector’s contact information
  • You will need a digital copy of your pre-inspection agreement

Ok, now let’s login first to the ISN by browsing to your ISN by clicking on the link in your welcome email or access the ISN directly by browsing to http://inspectionsupport.net/[your_company_key_here]/
Click on Login in the menu and you will be prompted with a username and password. Enter both and click Login.

Once you login you will see the welcome screen. It is filled with a lot of information about what is going on today and what your company has been doing the last few weeks as well as what inspections are coming up!

Now, let us reset your password, to do this, click on Administration and then on Change My Password. Now, enter your current password and a new password and click Change Password.

Next, let’s update your office information. To do this click on Administration and then on Manage My Office.

Here you can enter the contact information for your office in the first tab and even upload your office’s logo in the “Office Logo” tab. To update your contact information fill out the form and click the Save Changes button.

To upload your office logo click on the Office Logo tab and then click the Upload button. Next, click browse and locate your company or office’s logo and click Upload. If the image looks ok click the save button.

Now, you have updated your office information and added your company logo. Let’s add your inspectors now!

To add your inspectors click on Administration and then on User Administration and then click Add User. From here you can add each inspector on your team, change their calendar color and even their system access levels.

Now, let us take a look at your agreements. If you are not planning to use the ISN to help you send pre-inspection agreements you can skip this step. If you are planning to use the ISN to help you deliver agreements via the web click on Administration and then on Agreements. Now, let us add an agreement by clicking the Add New Agreement button. From here you can add your company or office agreement by typing in or copying in your agreement into the editor.

If you would like you can also add custom fields to your agreement by using the custom field drop down: an example might be your client’s name, the address of the inspection and the fee of the inspection.

Now that you have added these features your ISN is ready to use in its basic form. Next you can edit Email Containers, Email Templates and notification schedules. If you have questions about any part of the ISN please call our office at (800) 700-8112!
