Copying eInspections from one computer to another

eInspections, eInspections Help Videos Add comments

Moving your settings and files from one computer to another can be an advanced topic; if you have questions please contact us at (800) 700-8112 and we can help you with the process. Also, please close eInspections on both computers before you start.

The files you need to copy from one computer to another are the following:

  • C:\Program Files\Inspection Support\eInspections\userremarks.eic
  • C:\Program Files\Inspection Support\eInspections\officeremarks.eic
  • C:\Program Files\Inspection Support\eInspections\companyremarks.eic
  • C:\Program Files\Inspection Support\eInspections\companysettings.dat
  • C:\Program Files\Inspection Support\eInspections\Inspections*.eiy (all type files are here)

NOTE: Please place these files in the same folder/path on the other machine.

Also, this video will walk you through the process of copying your eInspections™ settings from one computer to another.

  1. Ron Felton Says:

This may be for an earlier version but in my system this is not how einspections installed itself. The user files are contained in an application folder.
The root is probably something like this
    c/documents and settings/(username)/local settings/application data/InspectionSupport/einspections

you have to make sure you have the view hidden folders setting on and you can copy the entire einspecions folder over to your other system.
