The ISN will now save your password on the computer you are currently on. This is great because you will never have to use your password again. This is also bad for the exact same reason. This means anyone using your computer can now access your ISN through your account without needing to know your password. Your password is saved on your computer for 30 days after your last login. Therefore as long as you login once every 30 days you will never need to use your password again to login to the ISN.

Our technical team is pleased to announce the immediate availability of version 4.1.5 of the Inspection Support Network™. This release adds new features and adds powers to the great features you are used to from the ISN. Some of the features were added to this ISN based on ideas from our inspectors so please keep those ideas coming into our office! We are busily building YOUR tools! Feel free to comment as well by clicking the comment link below!

Here is what you can expect from version 4.1.5:

You can now search by the client’s name or the client’s phone number in the inspection grid. The Inspection Grid is the list of inspections you see when you click on Inspections and then on View Inspections.

You can now choose to see the client’s name and the client’s phone number in the inspection grid

You will now see Property Photos on the Inspection grid if you use eInspections™ OR if you choose to upload property photos… thus…

You are now able to upload Property Photos (if desired)

Ability to re-upload or re-complete Inspections via the ISN (without the Remote Manager)

Report thumbnails when emailing or viewing the report

Attachment thumbnails when emailing or viewing attachments

You can now email inspection attachments along with the report (if desired)

A few organizational changes on the Inspection grid (date/time are stacked on top of each other to save space as an example)

Faster load times across the entire ISN (about 10% faster)

View and Search by Client’s Name or Client’s Phone Number
You can now search by a client’s name or client’s phone number in the inspection grid. If you want to see the client’s name and phone number in the inspection grid you can change these options by clicking on Settings and then on Manage my Office. Next, click on the Options tab (second tab) and then look for Display Options.

Property Photos
If you have eInspections™ you do not have to do anything new; continue using eInspections™ and you will find the property photos in the ISN. If you are not using eInspections™ you can quickly upload the front photo of the house to give you a quick reference when you are viewing the inspections.

Report and Attachment Thumbnails
You will now see report thumbnails to quickly remind you of the property and report when you are emailing a report or attachments. Also, you will now see thumbnails of all of the attachments in the system as well. If you upload a scan of a check from a client you will see a small preview / thumbnail of the attachment when you are viewing or emailing attachments and reports.

Emailing Attachments with Reports
You can now email attachments with reports. You will note a new checkbox in the email screen stating Include Attachments from this Inspection Order. Select his checkbox and then select what attachments you would like to send with the report email. Also, you will notice on the email screen a preview of the report and the attachments.

Complete Inspections Twice?
You can now re-complete an inspection (or essentially re-upload an inspection). This is helpful if you are not using the Remote Manager and you need to upload your report again after you make a change or add information such as radon data to a past report!

As always; if you have any questions please call us directly at (800) 700-8112! Again, feel free to comment as well by clicking the comment link below!

To add this to an inspector’s profile you should click on Administration and then on User Administration. Edit the inspector you wish to add this feature to; scroll down to the bottom of the screen and check the “Manually Complete Inspection” box and then click the Update User button to update the user’s profile.

Next time the inspector logs in they will be able to manually complete inspections.

If you have questions please contact our team at (800) 700-8112.

Question: If I upload more than one report to the ISN which one does it email out when I email a report?
Answer: The ISN always sends the most current report

One of the greatest business assets of the ISN is its ability to track and log every action. A major benefit of this is inspection revisions. The ISN will always allow you to continue uploading completed reports for the same inspection. Each report revision is accessible via the ISN at any time. However; when you email a report or download a report the ISN will grab the latest copy of the report.

For example, if you upload a report at 4:30PM for the property on 123 Oak Street and later at 4:45PM you upload changes to the report at 123 Oak Street the ISN will have saved both versions of the report. Finally; let us say you make additional changes to the report on 123 Oak Street and upload yet another revision at 4:55PM. When you click to email this report the ISN will send the version you uploaded at 4:55PM. Here is an illustration which may help clarify:
