To start the remote manager find the Remote Manager icon on your desktop and double click.

The first time you start the remote manager for the ISN you will see an empty login dialog box; from here the FIRST STEP is to click on the My Keys button.

In the My Keys dialog box enter your company key and make sure your ISN URL is inspectionsupport.net. (NOTE: You receive your company key during setup and it is usually a shorter form of your company name with no spaces and is all lowercase).

Next, enter your Username and Password for the ISN into the box and click login (this is the same username and password you use to access the ISN via your web browser).

You will now be logged into the remote manager. From here you can transfer attachments and reports to the ISN.

NOTE: If you are not using eInspections™ you will want to click on Tools and then on Options and select the option to Show the manual report upload button. This will allow you to upload inspections without eInspections™.

If you get an error that states “Unable to locate your transfer directory” from the Remote Manager it may indicate a altered user name or updated Windows profile. Here is how you fix it.

Note: Before you start you will need to know your company key and your user key. If you do not know them, re-launch your remote manager and click on My Keys. Note your user key and your company key and then close the Remote Manager.

First, go to My Computer or Computer by clicking on Start. Next, browse to your C:\ Drive and then to Program Files. Next, browse to Inspection Support. Look for a file that is called RemoteManagerSettings.xml (you may not see the xml on the end of the file, this is ok). Once you have located the file delete it by hitting delete on your keyboard. Next, re-launch the remote manager. It will prompt you for your keys again and this error will be gone!

The ISN Remote Manager is the software used to download your inspection Footprints and upload your completed eInspections™ reports to the ISN.

A Footprint is the basic information you acquire when taking an inspection order (ex. client name, address, buyer’s name)

When you install eInspections™ there are two icons placed on your desktop. One will be the eInspections™ icon and one will be the ISN Remote Manager icon. You can also find the Remote Manager by clicking on Start, All Programs, Inspection Support and you will see Remote Manager.

First, create an Order on the ISN. Log in to your ISN and click on Inspections on the blue toolbar at the top of your screen and then click on Inspection Order Form. Fill out the desired information using the available tabs then click on the last tab to the right Order Summary. Review your information and when it is correct scroll to the bottom and click on Complete This Order. Your order (inspection information) will now be stored in the ISN and ready to be transferred utilizing the transfer tool.

To transfer your Footprint into eInspections™ go to your desktop and double click on the ISN Remote Manager icon. Click on the My Keys button and make sure your Company Key is correct (given to you on setup) and make sure the authentication URL is inspectionsupport.net then click Ok. This information will not change so you will not have to enter this information again.

Your username and password are the same username and password you use to access your ISN. Typically your username is your first initial and your last name.

NOTE: We recommend you change your password once you start using the ISN. You can change your password by logging into the ISN, click on Administration and then on Change My Password.

Now click on Login then click on the Inspection Transfers tab. You will see two large areas / boxes; the area / box on the left are your completed inspections. The area / box on the right of your screen are the Footprints (new orders) created using the ISN. The Footprints are now ready to be transferred into eInspections™. When you transfer a Footprint to your computer the inspection will be stored in your My Documents folder.

(Special Note: You can change the location by clicking on Tools and then Options.)

Next, highlight the desired footprint on the right hand side of your screen and click the Download button in the middle of your screen. The Footprint file will transfer to your My Documents folder on your hard drive.

Now your transfer is complete, close the Remote Manager and go to your My Documents folder in your computer and find the subject address in your My Documents folder, double click and it will open the eInspections™ software. You will be asked which style of report you are using. If it is a residential report, as an example, make sure residential is highlighted and click Ok. Now eInspections™ will open and all of the information entered into the ISN during its initial order process is automatically inserted into your eInspections™ report. Now complete your inspection using eInspections™. Make sure you have clicked on the Information Tab in eInspections™ and added a report number to your inspection. When you are ready to transfer your completed eInspections™ report to the ISN, click on ISN on the menu within eInspections™ and click on Generate an ISN Transfer Package for this Inspection. A message box will appear when the process is complete.

Next, we need to upload the completed eInspections™ report into the ISN. To start this process double click on the ISN Remote Manager icon on your desktop to launch the Remote Manager again. Login and choose the Inspection Transfers tab and highlight the report or reports you would like to upload to the ISN (on the left hand side of the Remote Manager). Click the Upload button in the middle of your screen. When the upload is complete, close your Remote Manager.

If you would like to verify the completed eInspections™ report open your ISN, and log in. There are several ways to review your completed, uploaded report. One way is to click on Inspections and then View Inspections, choose your desired property address. To view your report click on the View Report icon, then click on Open.

Congratulations, your transfer process is complete. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us toll free at (800) 700-8112 and we will be happy to help you.
